Why Is It So Dead This Weekend?

WOW! There's absolutely nothing going on this weekend, last night I was hanging out with Cory and Craig. Just had some regular chat for the night, it wasn't overly exciting. Tonight roles around and there's absolutely NOTHING. No one is here this weekend, and I guess that is understandable, it's getting close to the end of the year and no one really wants to be around, plus the weather has been excellent all week. It's only bound to get better as the days roll by.

So that leaves us down to 27 days, 27 days left until I'm back home. Kind of an interesting concept I guess. Maybe it's not, I think to much, BLARG! I'm excited to go home, and at the same time I'm not. I have more friends here then I do back home, and not that it's bad that I don't have a lot of friends at home, there's a simple reason for that, I had no social life because I worked too much. My friends back home haven't kept in touch with me, and it kind of bothers me. But then again there is also the fact that I haven't tried to get ahold of them either, which is just as bad on my behalf, but I thought that they would stay in touch at least a little bit, that doesn't happen for me. Is the same thing going to happen when I go home for the summer? Will the people here just forget about me like my friends back home did? I sure hope not because I would be awfully crushed.

Like I said, I think way to much, I'm weird like that, but I thought I'd write about it because I'm so bored. There's nothing going on like I mentioned, I'm listening to music on randomize in SAM Broadcaster. I found myself searching up broadcasting softwares tonight, didn't find too many that were extremely interesting, but a few of them were pretty cool. Which brings us to the next point of discussion about Radio Humber next year. I'm looking forward to being on the air, and Jerry applied for a wattage increase so we should hit a broader audience next year. Which I guess is pretty cool for us, I did happen to come in at a good time. This year they finished building the new Media Broadcast Centre, which started broadcasting a bit before Christmas break.

I cleaned my room today I was so bored. Who cleans their room on a Saturday night?! People who are bored, that's who... But either way, there was a lot of dust on the floor, I was kind of grossed out by it when I had just done it a few weeks ago, but then again, I am lazy like that.

I started working on a song today, and I was thinking about trying to get an album finished before I leave, but I don't think I'm going to have the time for that. We will see how it works out, but I'm not counting on getting it done, unless I use a few unfinished songs that I had from my last album that are half written, that might be an idea. Who knows, we will have to wait and see, but if it does happen I will have to keep you all posted.

This post is all over the board tonight, but that's because I am extremely bored, lol... I don't think I mentioned anything about the photo shoot that Renee did the other night. She had some light equipment so she decided to take a few shots in the lounge. I grabbed my guitar and she started snapping pictures of me. Most of them turned out really cool, she took around 80 of them. It was a fun night..

But I think there might be a few of us going out for a walk for something to do. We are bored out of our minds and theres only about 6 of us here this weekend. I'm bored so I might as well join. Later days.

Bored? Why Not Search Random Things On eBay!?

Hmm, well it seems as if we must have been really bored last night. Aside from being a bit sore, we decided to watch a movie. The Never Ending Story, now, I've never seen the movie, but Renee, Craig and Jeremy had all seen it before. You know, it's actually kind of a cheesy movie, but it was funny to watch the old crazy special effects. It was highly amusing.

Aside from that, it wasn't too much of a day, I didn't wake up until 7pm, because I had been up until 7am that morning when we had gotten home. I was quite sore yesturday, but aside from the bumps and bruises, I'm fine. We kind of had a laugh about it yesturday, and it's still kind of a joke today. It could have been much much worse.

Myself, Renee and Craig took off to Burger King because downstairs had already closed for the night (yeah we got up too late lol), and quite frankly, I really didn't feel like residence food at all. It's starting to get really tiring to go downstairs and eat that same old crap over and over again. I go downstairs and am no longer hungry because of the fact that I don't want to eat anything, there's nothing good to eat. Oh well, we are down to 33 days here. Not to far away, and I really want to try to get as much as I can done within those 33 days. They have already been pretty fun so far.

After the movie last night, Craig and I decided to do some ebay searching for something to do. Talk about bordem eh? Hahahah, we started looking up "Wheatie Boxes" and you wouldn't believe how many there were online for sale. Then we decided to look up Cereal toys, and there were some really cool toys from back in the 50's and 60's for sale. It was highly amusing to look at them. Then we got the big idea to look up McDonalds Toys. And BOY did we hit the jackpot.

That is a Playskool McDonalds set. Now how cool is that?! I seriously would love to buy this thing just to say I had one, and to top it off after that, we found this.

It's a McDonalds Lego set! That is one of the coolest looking Lego sets I have ever seen. You could have your own drivethru lego set to play with all day long. Yeah, what can I say, we were bored last night. Anyways! That's it for today.

Nothing Like Getting Jumped In Toronto

I know what you might be thinking, Toronto is a bad place. And quite frankly, yes I will agree. It all depends where you are and at what time. It just so happened that me and Craig last night, were in the wrong place at the wrong time. We were on our way back to the College and got jumped. We were at Seven Eleven.

There were a group of 10 people and they had just wanted to be pests. I got punched a few times, slammed into the ground, and kicked in the side. Craig got the worst of it. He was thrown on the ground and kicked repeatedly. I am quite sore but I can just imagine how sore he is.

All in all, it wasn't a fun night, we had to walk to a gas station and call a cab, and then take a ride home. The whole time I was worried about Michelle and Renee, because they had gotten ahead of us because we were talking to some random guy on the street. But they had gotten back safely. I just can't help but wonder, if we hadn't have stopped, we would have been home safe and sound and none of this would have happened.

It could have been worse, we survived, and nothing was stolen, but it just goes to show you that there are a few bad places that you don't want to be late at night or something like that could happen. Oh well, you live life how it comes to you. All I need is rest, and I'll be back to normal in a few days, I'm just glad I didn't break any bones.

I am very thankful that Renee was around when we got back, because I broke down, I was upset, in shock, and still full of adrenaline. She was there to comfort and it helped a lot, and Jeremy was there to talk too. It's good to know that I have such caring friends.

Swallowed In The Sea

Swallowed in the Sea is a great tune. And If you haven't listened to it, I definitely suggest it. A lot of people don't like the X&Y album, but you know what, it's not as bad as everyone says. Just make sure you get to track 11 and you will be all set.

Now, you may be asking why I am up at six in the morning, it's a very valid question. And then you may ask why I'm listening to Swallowed in the Sea? That's another great question! I'm up because I just finished having a conversation with Sarah not to long ago(yeah I know, early in the morning chats are great). Then I decided to listen to a song afterwords, and then I just felt like writing in my blog. Such a great tune if you want to make yourself feel better after being down, but when I write things down, I always feel better. Hence why I am posting here.

The night was actually pretty fun, Craig, Renee, Jeremy, Sarah and myself watched Stranger Then Fiction. It's an excellent movie, I actually really enjoyed it myself. We kind of bumped the movie night to Wednesday this week (don't ask me why, we were all busy on Tuesday), but nonetheless I believe we'll be back to the normal schedule next week.

I had an interesting conversation with Sarah, and I know she is probably going to read this. This is absolutely fine, it's one of the main reasons I post on my blog, to get my thoughts out, and for people to read whats going on in my life. I just want to let you know, do not worry about anything, you are one of the greatest friends I could ever ask for. And I say that truthfully and meaningfully. You have been great, and you are on the top of my list for friends. Thank You

So The Countdown Begins.... And It's Only 36 Days?!?!??!!!?!

I'm thinking about going home again, why do I keep thinking this!? It's frustrating, and it only makes me feel like crap! Oh well, I suppose many other people are thinking the same thing. There are things I'm looking forward too, and other things I'm not so much looking forward too.

I still haven't heard back from Bigdog yet. It doesn't sound to good if you ask me! But maybe I am just jumping the gun, they are busy and don't have much time to be checking emails. I am still waiting to hear back from Chris though, he said he was going to tell me what he thought of my work I've sent him, but I haven't heard anything yet. Oh well I'll just wait it off, and stop in when I get home and see how things are going.

I had a conversation with Sarah tonight, about how many days are left before I leave. It's almost a month now, I have to be out of here on the 28th, so that means that there are 36 days left here in Toronto. WOW, ONLY 36!?!?!! That doesn't seem like a lot, and infact it isn't a lot. I don't like looking at that number, althought I suppose I should start the countdown... THAT'S DEPRESSING!

I guess it's really only a four month break, and them I'm right back to where I use to be, second year radio, which is one thing I'm really looking forward too. Anyways, I have a meeting to go to right now, so I should get going, or I'll get yelled at and "evicted" by Phil. Until later days!
